Actually Da Nang beach is perfect for swimming. Just go out at either 5am or 5pm, especially this time of year summer, the beach overflows with people. The natives wear floatation devices and swim a km out into the ocean in throngs. I was there earlier this week doing that every morning like a routine.

Have just returned from a month in Vietnam and I think Vietnamese food wasn't the best or just not to my liking – the smells and textures of some of the ingredients in various dishes were horrible – coffee though was unbelievable – Vietnam as a whole was great. We travelled from North to South and had an amazing time. We ended up eating in a lot of nice restaurants i.e. Japanese, French and others cuisines and these restaurants were great. I think I prefer spicier cuisines like Balinese.

I think in vietnam you can be impresed if you travel Phong Nha Cave, Mui Ne- Phan Thiet, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang

Hi! I have a question for you that is not really about this video. Your video was so helpful when we went to Koh Lipe. We stayed at Ten Moons and it was amazing. Free snorkeling equipment and a nice shady beach to snorkel right in front of the hotel. Perfect. Made the island even better. My GF and I are planning to go to Koh Samui next week. I know it is your home base. Do you have any recommendations for your home island for us that would be in the Ten Moons category of greatness? I hope you can reply with some suggestions. Our fallback is Phuket area if you have a suggestion there. Continued success, health and happiness!
