The Moxy NYC Downtown was perfect for what we were looking for – a relatively inexpensive (for New York City) hotel room as a base to explore around the city. This was our first stay at the Moxy brand and we would not hesitate to stay at another brand under the right circumstances. As a brand, Moxy reminds us of an upscale hostel – very small private rooms and bathrooms but with lots of communal lobby space. No traditional closet space in the room, but lots of interesting uses of the space but not sure there will be enough storage if you’re staying a week and want to “unpack”.
