Hi Ken! We'll miss having you in Malaysia. Thank you very much for spending the time and resources in Malaysia. As for the choice between Indonesia and Philippines for your next destination, I would suggest Philippines so that you will experience a more varied perspective of S. E. Asia, and then go to Indonesia. Indonesia is a little bit too similar to Malaysia (although not quite similar) for an immediate next destination. Then again, having visited both countries before, between Indonesia and Philippines, I prefer Indonesia. The food is more platable to my taste. Both countries have beautiful landscapes and islands though, and the magnificent volcanoes…

Congratulation Ken for having been to all the states in Malaysia …I am Malaysian .. almost at retirement age …I have not been to Terengganu, Sabah and Sarawak. However, I studied for BSc and MSc in USA and PhD in Russia. After retiring, insha Allah I would like to visit/ live in your father's country of origin, Turkiye. Anyway, all the best. May Allah guide us to the right path. Ameen.

Philippines first then Indonesia, Why?, mostly around Nov./ Dec. if I'm not mistaken, some "Typhoon" will be face surround Philippines that time. Go there early and then go to Indonesia. My humble opinion.
