For the first guy, under malaysian law, a worker are not allowed to work more than 12 hour a day, and no more than 72 hour per week, and in a week must have 1 rest day unless if he choose to work on his rest day but still no more than 72 hour per week even if he wanted too, His boss could be fine.
Malaysians are nice, but aren't the friendliest when you compare to the Phillipines or Indonesia. I'm Malaysian.
Talking about snatch theft perhaps that is a remote case, M'sia is safe and and very hospitable people. Enjoy your stay 😍
at last…while foreigner give good opinion for malaysia..locals make a bad scene
hey i am alikame , foreigner in malaysia , i want to meet foreigner female in kuala lumpur for long term relation or short term ( enjoyable ) , pls contact me
In Malaysia, we don't randomly say hi to people on streets. but it is our culture to smile (from the 90's to 00' our government did a campaign (about smiling to each other) and put a skit in our local television asking our nation to smile to each other and then it become's our culture, 'senyum itu budaya kita' remember the song?)
and from what i notice, they do it with a little bit of ' head nod' while smiling. it is like our way of saying hi 🤣
Lol, can't take any of this seriously. He can't even speak Malay, Tamil, Mandarin, or any of the languages in Malaysia. He can only interview english speakers (usually educated, well off or foreigners).
I'm not gonna say hello to someone i don't know on the street though. That is not a defination of friendly….Enough with a smile I think. Just my 10cents opinion.
I got a massage yesterday. One of the worker is Indonesian. She suddenly cry after a few word with me. I asks why. She said she just came to Malaysia and suddenly misses her family there. I told her, it is normal feeling as they are far apart. She told me, for few days she here, Malaysians help her a lot. Someone even pay for her grab fee, someone help her to buy food as she didnt know the area yet.
I guess we have some spot heart on us when we see someone in trouble. Asks for their help and they are willing to help you with smile.
no i dont think so, unless your the king
After watching this clip I kept thinking about the song " To know Malaysia is to love Malaysia, people smiling everywhere showing you that they care.!"
I'm from KL, born-raise-get married-having family..til now, i'm still stuck in KL! 😅 🤪
As for me, generally KL is a safe city… Born & living in KL for 41 years, i never have an experience of facing any theft, or being rob by the robbers, or get snatched by bad guy… But, still i need to aware and be careful whenever i go to anywhere especially in the night hours….
Is the first person a malaysian?
I agree with the 2nd guy that Malaysians wont just say hello to you as a stranger but generally quite friendly. We are more reserved but that doesnt mean we are not friendly
Thank you chai for the video
KL definitely seems like a wonderful city, enjoyed watching the video. Have a good rest of your day.😃
He is a migrant lol.
Hello Chai 😄 Great interview video you will always get friendly and unfriendly people in every country. I always smile at people say hello and some just look and stare at you lol. Thank you for sharing Take Care Stay Champ
Cai bb you still up in kl
Chai i have a question. How is the police do they arrest the teenagers because I heard that if your visa expired and you are walking around they will arrest you is that true ?
Malaysian generally friendly. Alhamdulillah
There's some place at night where it's not safe but mostly most people will know about it to stay away.
Friendly , oh I think for sure 👌 – everyone happy to speak with you 😃👋👍🙏
friendly or not friendly? It depends on who you interview. if he is an introverted person, (whose mind is always thinking of money money money) his answer is more likely similar to the response of the Ipoh Chinese guy. while when you interviewed the cheerful person, their answer would definitely be more positive.
We don't say hello much. We just look and smile only.
That guy isn't wrong to say it's not in the Malaysian culture to say "hi" on the street or chat up strangers, especially in the city. There's the Asian view that westerners are bold & friendly, so people treat them differently than with locals, so locals may be more willing to say "hi" to westerner tourists. As for safety, I will also agree with the guy with glasses because there have been news reports of "broader crime" & vehicle theft in Malaysia. Also, a Malaysian guy said that if there's a robbery going on, the police will just look the other way. And for public housing, the entire lift carriage is stolen. That lady who said that snatch theft happens "everywhere, that's just your luck"…. well, she should travel to other countries where it doesn't happen.
Malaysians, in my opinion, are generally very reserved because we respect others' privacy. We don't intentionally approach strangers with excessive friendliness because we don't want to arouse unnecessary suspicion, but once we're being approached and are aware of their intentions, we can be very amiable.
So I get it, that saying hello randomly is not the city culture unless you want to ask questions from strangers. Easy going and warm nature in social environment. 😀
Malaysian friendly towards white peoples only, same like peoples in Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand etc .
Love u bro
How about USA..how about UK or another Europe city..
Thank you for the video. Hope you like stay in Malaysia. From Sabah.
Malaysian friendly but generally bit shy if talk to strangers…..
But with smile and happy face… they maybe turn up becoming your friend in short time….
Good contents…
Keep it up this good works….
3:45 hahahaha… that guy is correct, we don't go and say hello to strangers on the streets, but we will stop and help when asked.
7:04 she's right. 😁
We are friendly not because we want your money.
